The RE's Muse

After 4 years of infertility, 2 surgeries, 1 miscarriage, and 19 months of high risk pregnancies, hubby and I now have two little women in our lives--one a toddler, the other not far behind. Buckle your seatbelts, it's gonna be a wild ride.

Enter the princess

For the past few weeks, J has been dramatically throwing her pink satin-backed blankie over her shoulders, satin-side out, wrapping it closely around herself and saying "Look mommy, I a princess!"

Since she asked to go poop on the potty yesterday all by herself (not once but twice--yippee!), I gave her a little present afterwards: this princess tiara and earring set.
Think she liked them?

AAAAHHHH! The cute! It burns!

Seriously. That's adorable. Congratulations on the pooping on the potty. It seems like one day the lightbulb just clicks on and they understand.

Boog is in underwear all the time, except for bedtime/nightime. He is even managing to keep the underwear dry during naps at daycare. He may have one or two accidents a week, and those usually happen at home because he doesn't make it in time.

J is a beautiful little princess. I hope she keeps up the good potty work.

I got a set like that for my friend's 3rd birthday--a big hit! I always wanted to be a FAIRY princess, myself, and intend to encourage that in my baby...

Oh I'm having such girl envy! J looks like a beautiful princess, and two poops in one day? - that girl deserves the bling!

Lovely, your majesty. That is just the cutest picture I have seen on the internet for a while. Hooray for poop!

A-DOR-ABLE!!!!!!!!!! Man I wish Liam would go in the potty. Right now he is going through this phase where he wants to see ME do it, and he watches with this weird pervy face, so I end up throwing him out and then he just bangs on the door and yells "Mama! Mama! Mama pooooteeeeeeeeeee" It is really quite sad.

She's so great! And I think that a tiara and jewels are extremely appropriate for potty-pooping. Don't let Chebbles know about this corrolation, though... maybe I'll dole out dollhouse furniture to her?
